The Role

Following internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Field Sales professional to continue the growth of sales in this significant and lucrative territory. The route to market is via distribution and the Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving growth across your territory;

  • Maintain excellent relationships with the catering distributors in your area;

  • Actively identify sales leads with end users in your area and promote the range of products to them, channelling sales back via the distributors;

  • Deliver product training to distributor sales staff and accompany them on field visits to promote the products and advise clients on the product benefits;

  • Train distributor sales staff on new products and keep them well informed of any promotions;

  • Maintain an active interest in the UK Foodservice sector, sharing details of trends and opportunities with your colleagues;

  • Excellent diary planning to ensure that your time in each part of the territory is productive and maximises sales opportunities;

 

The person

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in selling products to HoReCa;

  • Proven experience having achieved sales growth in a field sales role;

  • Experience in selling Foodservice Equipment would be an advantage;

  • Knowledge of catering distributors is desirable;

  • Skilled in presenting products to Foodservice operators;

  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, make sound commercial judgements, close deals and behave professionally at all times;

  • Excellent time planning and organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously when required whilst maintaining strong communication with management and colleagues;

  • Ability to develop sound working relationships with internal colleagues;

  • High levels of drive and motivation with the flexibility to react quickly to changes in business conditions and seize opportunities.
