The Role

Our client is a long-established leading name in the Catering Equipment and Supplies market, they have a vast portfolio of products across light and heavy equipment, workwear and cleaning making them the go-to supplier for thousands of professional Foodservice and Catering operators across the UK.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced field sales professional to drive sales growth across a network of independent foodservice and hospitality customers across Eastern Scotland this is a business development role and the emphasis is on generating new business:

Harness the data on the company prospecting system to identify potential customers and then get in front of them to promote the business, its products and services.

Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings

Maintaining a regular call cycle around your area (average 5 sales calls a day, 4 days a week) providing quotes and ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.

Manage margins within company policy to achieve sales and drive volume growth.

Support customers with product information and promotions.

Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

Researching HoReCa businesses and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets.

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives

Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events

Maintain accurate visit and sales records along with regular reporting to your line manager.

Monitor sales performance and update targets based on activity and key result areas.

Manage existing Key National and Independent accounts with support from NAM team and sales office functions
The person
This role would suit an entrepreneurial and driven sales professional who is used to selling to customers in the Foodservice and Hospitality sector and gets a buzz from winning and growing new business.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

Experience of selling to end user customers in the HoReCa channel

Proven experience of driving a continuous pipeline of new business

Excellent journey planning and territory management skills

Natural communicator -enjoys meeting new customers and building up strong relationships

Asks the right questions to propose the right product/s, identifies buying signals and closes

Well organised and able to manage and prioritise a busy workload

Flexible to manage a large area and stay away from home if required

Driven and ambitious with a desire to hit KPI’s and earn bonus.
