The Role

The Company

Our Client produces premium quality professional clothing including PPE protective clothing, workwear, and corporate wear, as well as technological accessories and products. A brand synonymous with comfort, style, design, quality and function and they have clothing options for every part of a hospitality business; they are a global business with an excellent reputation which is growing rapidly in the UK.

The Role

As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across the northern region. Responsibilities include:

  • Devising and implementing a sales strategy and ongoing journey plan to maximise new business opportunities across the area.

  • Targeting and engaging with end-user clients across the Foodservice and Hospitality sector, in particular fine-dining establishments, premium food service and hotels.

  • Identifying and working alongside distribution partners to increase sales through harnessing their client relationships with the promotion of clothing ranges which could add value to their customers.

  • Approaching the area proactively and efficiently, making an average of 3-4 visits a day.

  • Keeping thorough and up-to-date records of all sales activity including a schedule of follow-up appointments and calls.

  • Asking key questions and listening to prospective customers to fully understand their operation, style, and the challenges they face in order to present a compelling solution of products, highlighting the benefits and value that the brand can deliver.

  • Working consultatively with the customer to propose products which will best represent their operation and work for their staff.

The person

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Passion for the Foodservice and Hospitality sector and an established network of potential customers across the region.

  • Proven field sales experience with the ability to effectively journey plan to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Experience in selling premium or ‘high end’ products where sales are won on benefits over price.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to get appointments, listen to the customers’ wants/needs and propose a solution which will offer genuine value.

  • Creative flair -the ability to grasp and understand the style/characteristics of a foodservice/hospitality operation and put together a ‘mood board’ to show how the proposed uniforms would perfectly fit the business.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.

  • Flexibility to cover a large region and stay away from home when required.
