The Role
The Company
Global manufacturer of a range of equipment products supplied to the Foodservice channel. As well as expertly designed and manufactured equipment they offer turnkey services to include logistics and distribution, equipment consolidation, technical service, replacement equipment, parts and resupply and integrated project management meaning they can offer the customer a complete solution, managed in full, from cradle to grave. Supplying the best known global QSR brands, they have won multiple supplier awards for the service and value they provide.
The Role
This role plays an essential liaison between the Sales and Administration/Operations functions.
Tasks include (but are not limited to):

Working alongside the European BDM, attend initial design brief meetings with the customers. These will predominantly be overseas QSR brands who are opening new sites in the UK&I along with HoReCa operators including stadia, pubs, restaurants etc.

Gain a thorough understanding of the concept and site requirements including equipment lists, utility and building considerations, kitchen flow etc.

Complete accurate site survey of all relevant foodservice areas.

Create a 3D visual of the proposed concept.

Present this visual either direct to the customer, or to the BDM.

Assistance with estimating and production of quotations.

Risk-assessing each process and ‘seeing around corners’ to anticipate and mitigate against any potential issues that could arise during the complete project.

Liaising with other internal departments to facilitate a smooth process from initial consultation through to post shipment after sales care on projects and talk to suppliers when needed.

High level of liaison with internal stakeholders (i.e. sales, admin, engineering etc.) to ensure that the project runs smoothly and without delays.
The Person
QSR knowledge is not essential, however we are looking for an experienced designer who understands the flow and technical/design considerations of a commercial kitchen, who is passionate about the foodservice sector and is comfortable in a customer facing role as well as maintaining a high level of liaison between external and internal departments.
Applicants should demonstrate the following:

Proven track record of commercial kitchen design -must be trained in Revit and able to produce full 3D rendered visuals.

Excellent attention to detail and strong administration and communication skills.

Experience of or exposure to project management.

Basic knowledge of electrical and refrigeration equipment.

Experience of direct interaction with National/Global Account level customers.

Demonstrable experience of foodservice concept design -able to ask the right questions, establish the key needs, visualise and create a concept design and present a compelling solution which will address and solve any issues of the customer/s.

Confident communicator who is able to quickly and easily build rapport with customers and colleagues.

Able to multi-task and prioritise workloads efficiently to meet deadlines and KPI’s.

Flexible to travel extensively and stay away from home as required.
