The Role

The Company

Our client is a highly successful global manufacturer of market-leading cooking technologies used in the commercial Foodservice and Hospitality sector. They are recognised for the premium quality of their products along with their outstanding customer service and state of the art innovation.

Due to yet another fantastic year of growth they are looking to strengthen their Key Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a BDM or in Area Sales who is looking to step up into Key Accounts.

The Role

This role is a mix of existing account management as well as new business development, so you will need to apply effective solutions, first-class customer service and account management as well as a desire and drive to hunt for new business opportunities.

  • Gather information on target Key Accounts

  • Contact clients to understand their requirements and work on a sales plan

  • Provide after-sales support to retain customers

  • Ensure prompt and accurate answers to clients’ queries

  • Build strong client relationships through regular communication

  • Report on the status of accounts

  • Suggest company products/services to provide solutions and maximise customer satisfaction

  • Communicate product and pricing details clearly

  • Coordinate with Senior Account Managers to create customized sales plans for key clients

  • Promote new products/services to existing customers

  • Take an active part in Trade Shows and Exhibitions

 

The person

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking a consultative approach to sales and working towards achieving goals. You will use your communication skills to identify and address client needs while representing the business in a positive way.

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, Territory Manager or similar relevant sales role.

  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

  • Understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver an excellent customer experience

  • Focus on a consultative and solutions-based sales approach

  • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships

  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills

  • A high degree of professionalism

  • Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude
