The Role

The Company

The Client is a market leading designer and manufacturer of a range of stunning tabletop products with a global presence. They have contemporary offices in the UK and overseas and harness state of the art technology and manufacturing processes to design and create solutions for customers. Their products are created for the professional market and clients include hotels, restaurants, retailers, contract caterers and other global foodservice environments.

 

The Role

Due to continued success, the business has created this role to continue to drive sales growth across the Southeast region.

  • Harnessing the company database to compile and prioritise a ‘sales landscape’ of target customers, working alongside the Sales Manager to devise and implement the sales strategy.

  • Learn the product range and the manufacturing techniques used to become a Product Specialist who can consultatively sell the best solutions for your clients.

  • Establish strong professional relationships with the key distributor clients.

  • Engage with National Account level end user groups to promote the range of products with a view to gaining specification.

  • Research, target and approach new clients to achieve agreed annual business development sales revenue.

  • Communicating new product developments to prospective clients.

  • Ensure customers are up to date with current marketing literature for existing and new product launches.

  • Invite clients to the showroom in London to showcase the product range and advise on ranges and solutions.

  • Regular internal communication with all internal stakeholders.

  • Attendance and representation at exhibitions, roadshows, trade events etc.

  • Maintain an interest and awareness of current market trends and continue to build and maintain a strong network.

 

The Candidate

The role would suit someone with a flair for great designs, an appreciation of quality and a passion for the foodservice and hospitality market.

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

  • Proven field sales experience.

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the Hospitality and Foodservice market.

  • Experience of having worked for a manufacturer and sold via a network of distributors would be an advantage.

  • Excellent organisation and journey-planning skills with the ability to cover a large geographical territory.

  • Flexible to travel extensively and stay away from home when required in order to meet and network with your customer base.

  • Strong self-management skills with a strong work ethic: Treating every call as a sales opportunity with clear goals to achieve.

  • High level of commercial awareness with an understanding of buying processes.

  • Personable, professional and tenacious.

  • Experience of selling premium product solutions.
