The Role
The Company
Our client has been developing and manufacturing high-quality technology for preparing, presenting, and preserving hot and cold food products for over 80 years. They provide world-leading organisations with the latest technology that makes their products stand out.
The Role
This is a new role which has been created following continuous expansion of their product range.
Tasks include (but are not limited to):

Working closely with the Sales Director to develop a sales strategy to drive sales and develop new accounts.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.

Generating and growing accounts, showing organic growth within new accounts.

Keeping an up-to-date pipeline of new business opportunities.

Building an annual roadmap for your portfolio and be accountable for the objectives set throughout the year.

Building strong relationships with colleagues so that opportunities can be worked on cooperatively.
The person
This person will play a key role in helping the business achieve its growth projections. They are looking for a self-motivated team member with sound knowledge of new business development and selling solutions.
Applicants should demonstrate the following:

A strong track record in business development ideally within the foodservice equipment sector

Highly motivated and well-organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and work alone

Excellent communication skills, and an ability to deal with a broad spectrum of people at all levels of an organisation, from on-site managers to senior business managers and directors.

Ability to research the customer potential and put together an account target plan with the commitment to track and monitor results.

Experience gained in a New Business Development role where you were targeted to deliver sales.

Strong client relationship skills.

Able to quickly establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

Hands-on sales skills -strong in a customer-facing role.

Excellent consultative selling skills with the ability to deliver a compelling value proposition which demonstrates a sound understanding of the client’s operation and pain points.

Full driving licence at the time of appointment, as this role requires national travel.

Is flexible to travel across the UK and work away from home on occasion if required.

Excellent listening, solution-selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities

Good problem solver, capable of managing processes and resolving issues whilst on the move

Good analytical and numerical skills.

Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite essential, including excel, and experience using Salesforce database would be advantageous

Previous knowledge of the food equipment / commercial kitchen environment market is desirable
