The client is a market leading designer and manufacturer of a range of stunning tabletop products with a global presence. They have contemporary offices in the UK and overseas and harness state of the art technology and manufacturing processes to design and create solutions for customers. Their products are created for the professional market and clients include hotels, restaurants, retailers, contract caterers and other global foodservice environments.
The Role
Exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic, well organised Purchasing Manager to join a growing, ambitious business.
The successful Purchasing Manager can be assured that you will be joining a solid, professional and secure business, with a mass of experience and opportunities.
Tasks include (but are not limited to):

Oversee and develop the Purchasing & Logistics teams

Build on and execute the buying strategy across all product categories, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives

Provide strong stock holding in all warehouse locations ensuring that stock levels are maintained as efficiently as possible

Create and maintain excellent, strong relationships with vendors negotiating continually to achieve more favourable terms and maximise margins

Produce reports on the department’s stock efficiency

Ensure data on items on the system is kept up to date to ensure efficient and accurate running of purchasing administrative tasks

Routinely review supplier service and maintain a supplier performance log ensuring reviews are made

Continually monitor the market and trends, allowing for product and material innovation reviews

Collaborate with design, sales and marketing

Review, negotiate and monitor existing vendor contract agreements

Identify potential procurement challenges and develop risk mitigation strategies
The Person

Applicants should demonstrate the following:

Either purchasing or supply chain procurement qualification essential
-
Solid experience in key Buyer role/Purchasing Management role essential

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock planning system desirable

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-
Excellent organisational and prioritising skills
-
Ability to collaborate with different teams and use own initiative
-
Positive, can-do attitude, with drive to be successful
