The Role

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales across the North West of England and will also go into Scotland.

  • Nurture relationships with distributors, support sales staff on client visits and keep them updated with details of promotions, NPD etc.

  • Follow up sales leads and visit end-user customers to discuss their business and promote product solutions to suit.

  • Manage your diary efficiently to ensure that all clients in your area are receiving excellent customer service and communication is regular.

  • Share feedback from your territory on trends, challenges etc. to your line manager and other departments to support the business marketing and strategic development.

  • Ensure that each sales call has a goal -both in terms of current activity and long-term pipeline;

  • Daily and weekly communication with your Line Manager and other sales staff sharing leads and offering support wherever possible.

  • Attendance at Trade Shows.

  • Monthly sales reporting. 

 

The person

We are looking for a skilled Regional Sales Manager who can demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in selling equipment or products to the Foodservice sector in a field sales role;

  • Experience in selling via catering distributors would be beneficial but not essential;

  • Excellent journey planning and time management;

  • Strong blend of account management and business development skills;

  • The ability to quickly follow up on and qualify sales leads;

  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills -able to present to all levels and deliver compelling sales pitches;

  • Experience in selling premium equipment solutions, highlighting the benefits and overcoming price objections.

  • Flexible to cover a large territory and stay away from home if required.
