The Role

The Company

Global market leading manufacturer of a range of premium heavy duty foodservice equipment brands supported by an international network of service partners. Their products are manufactured in the UK and overseas and combine all key aspects of commercial catering equipment.

The Role

This is a technical support and training role which covers a varied set of responsibilities:

  • Managing all technical aspects across warewashing and horizontal cooking products

  • Providing technical support on the phone, email and site visits supporting the product, service companies and customers

  • Design, implementation and delivery of technical training for service partners

  • Supporting internal sales and spares teams and being the technical link between production facilities and UK aftersales support

  • Work closely with Management, Customer Service, Sales, Spares, and production facilities to resolve escalated technical support issues evolving around the equipment brands in a timely manner

  • Provide technical assistance and service support for inquiries received, via phone or email from service techs, service companies, sales, spares, and customers 

  • Site visits, to carry out or assist in equipment repairs and support customer and product related issues

 

The person

This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager, or for a trained Service Engineer looking to move away from the tools and us their skills and knowledge in a more varied technical supporting role.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Valid gas safe accreditation (CCN1, COMCAT1, COMCAT3 and COMCAT5)

  • Experienced with warewashing and horizontal cooking equipment

  • Experience of working for an equipment manufacturer is beneficial but not essential

  • Proven experience of working in the Catering Equipment industry

  • Competent with electrics

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Interpersonal skills with a strong work ethic and high levels of integrity

  • Good IT skills and familiarity with standard Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)

  • Full driving licence and prepared to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home as required. (50-50 home-field based role)
