Part of a multi-billion turnover global group, this UK business manufactures a range of premium quality, innovative foodservice equipment solutions used within the catering and foodservice sector. The company is made up of a nationally based commercial team, supported by a UK-wide network of service engineers and partners. The wider group employs thousands of people globally and operates multiple manufacturing facilities worldwide.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business Development Manager to nurture and grow the existing dealer network across the UK, while also securing new dealer partners.
Tasks include:

Sales and promotion of the full range of products to a network of distribution partners

Securing new dealer accounts within the UK foodservice, consultant, design, and refrigeration sectors

Establishing strong professional relationships with existing dealer clients

Growing business through proactive and effective sales calls and increasing awareness of the full product range

A “sleeves up” approach to helping build and develop additional product ranges beyond the existing portfolio

Regular communication, sales reporting, and pipeline reviews with the line manager

Supporting engagement and relationship-building with end users to foster opportunities for national accounts

The Person​
The ideal candidate will have:

Proven sales success from a field sales environment
-
At least 5 years’ sales experience managing dealers within the foodservice sector

Results-driven with a strong “can-do” attitude

Comfortable hunting for new business as well as farming existing customers

Experience negotiating at all levels of seniority
-
IT-literate, confident, self-sufficient, and comfortable using CRM tools and sales systems
-
Personable, passionate, hard-working, and ambitious
-
Flexible to travel and stay away from home as required (exhibitions, trade shows, etc.)

Knowledge of the competitive landscape would be an advantage.​​
