  • Championing a Safety-First culture across the business and clearly communicating expectations at all levels

  • Providing frameworks, systems, guidance, and practical tools to support compliance with HSE legislation and best practice

  • Leading employee consultation groups and working with appointed Safety Representatives on behavioural and compliance initiatives

  • Identifying health and safety competency requirements and advising on development actions

  • Delivering HSE training, toolbox talks, inductions, and leading incident investigations

  • Reviewing risk assessments and method statements and providing expert advice

  • Reporting notifiable incidents externally in line with regulatory requirements

  • Managing eLearning platforms for HSE training and compliance tracking

  • Maintaining accreditations and certifications and managing external, internal, and insurance audits

  • Acting as the primary contact for local authorities regarding HSE licensing, permitting, environmental approvals, and fire safety

  • Representing the business in HSE-related claims or litigation where required

  • Conducting assurance visits for contracted services and leading H&S account reviews with key stakeholders

  • Supporting contractor schemes, external applications, and professional liability auditing
